Each summer, the skies above Stowe come alive with color as the Stoweflake Hot Air Balloon Invitational returns for another unforgettable weekend. Guests and visitors gather on the beautiful grounds of Stoweflake Resort to watch dozens of hot air balloons rise gracefully above the Green Mountains, creating one of the most iconic and photographed events of the Vermont summer.

Friday & Saturday Night Balloon Glow – An Enchanted Evening

As the sun sets, the field transforms into a magical scene of color and light. During the Friday and Saturday Night Balloon Glow, the balloons remain tethered while their burners illuminate them from within, creating a glowing dreamscape against the evening sky.

It’s a breathtaking experience as the balloons pulse with light in synchronized bursts, filling the field with warmth and color. Bring your camera and your sense of wonder—this is one of the most memorable moments of the entire weekend.

Live Music & Summer Celebration

On Saturday, the festival atmosphere continues with live music on the Stoweflake grounds, creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxing summer evening with friends and family.

Guests can enjoy the lively atmosphere while watching balloons inflate and prepare for flight. 

BBQ, Food & Cash Bar

Throughout the event, a variety of BBQ and food options will be available for purchase, offering classic summer favorites and festival fare. A cash bar will also be available so guests can relax with a drink while enjoying the music and spectacular balloon displays.

Sunday Brunch with the Balloon Pilots
