Vermont Pumpkin Chuckin’ Festival

Step into autumn the Stowe way at the Vermont Pumpkin Chuckin’ Festival—a wildly creative, family‑friendly fall celebration like no other. Held at the Stowe Events Field (120 Weeks Hill Road) on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 11 AM to 4 PM, this festival invites teams of all ages to design DIY trebuchets and compete to launch pumpkins—by gravity catapult—for distance. Rounds start at 12:30, 1:30, and 2:30, with awards following the final throw.

But the fun doesn’t stop at pumpkin-flinging. The day is packed with live music, a chili cook‑off, volleyball and cornhole tournaments, kids’ activities, and a bustling craft fair featuring over 40 local vendors. Food trucks round out the offering, and Stoweflake provides food, beer, and wine.

Admission is $10 for ages 6 and up, while kids 5 and under attend free. The event is cash‑only, with an ATM available onsite. Bring along chairs, blankets, and umbrellas—but please leave dogs and outside food or drinks at home.

More than just fun and games, this festival supports the community: all proceeds benefit the Clarina Howard Nichols Center, a local organization dedicated to ending domestic and sexual violence in Lamoille County.
